From April 25 to May 25, 2022, the acceptance of projects in several activities of the measure “Investments in the expansion of forest areas and improvement of forest viability” will take place.
8.1 “Afforestation” (10th round of project acceptance). The measure may include afforestation and maintenance of the forest, as well as supplementation and maintenance of the sapling forest stand. Total public funding – 820 thousand euros. The deadline for the implementation of the submitted
projects is 30 June 2025.
8.3 “Installation and improvement of forest fire, pest and disease monitoring equipment and communication equipment”. The measure may include the construction, reconstruction and refurbishment of fire monitoring towers, the establishment and improvement of forest fire safety communication equipment, the establishment of a network of surveillance equipment, and the establishment and improvement of pest and disease monitoring equipment and communication equipment. Total public funding – 932 thousand euros. The deadline for the implementation of the submitted projects is two years after the adoption of the decision of the Service on the approval of the project.
8.4 “Restoration of forest stands destroyed by forest fires and natural disasters” (9th round of project acceptance). Support is granted for reforestation in an area where, in accordance with the opinion of the State Forest Service, a fire or natural disaster (wind, windbreak, damage caused by snow and ice) has been identified, due to which the forest stand has been destroyed, therefore the forest must be restored. Total public funding – 70 thousand euros. The deadline for the implementation of the submitted projects is 30 June 2025.
8.5 “Investments to improve the resilience and ecological value of forest ecosystems” (7th round of
project acceptance). Support is only available for the thinning of young stands. Total public funding – 2.38 million euros. The deadline for the implementation of the projects submitted in the round is 1 September 2023.

Project applications must be submitted to the RSS Electronic Application System or signed with a secure electronic signature. Development and the Rural Development Program.
